Mary Rose Somarriba, the culture editor of Verily Magazine, managing editor of Altcatholicah, and a former Phillips Foundation Fellow, will be speaking on the connections between the pornography industry and sex trafficking. As a Novak Fellow Ms. Somarriba completed a yearlong journalism fellowship investigating the connections between these two industries. During her lecture she will be using information gained from her own personal research and interactions with the victims of porn and sex trafficking.
